

Black Boardroom Leadership Institute (BBLI): Strengthening Nonprofit Leadership
The Black Boardroom Leadership Institute (BBLI) is designed to empower nonprofit leaders and individuals with the knowledge and skills to serve effectively on nonprofit boards. Through this program, organizations can enhance board leadership, strengthen governance, and develop strategies to maximize their impact in the community.
BBLI offers two six-month tracks:
1) The Nonprofit Track – Designed for organizations seeking to strengthen board leadership and governance best practices.
2) The Leadership Track – Tailored for professionals looking to serve as effective and engaged board members.

The Nonprofit Track equips leaders with the tools and strategies to build strong, engaged boards that drive their mission forward. Over six months, participants will:
• Gain foundational knowledge in nonprofit board governance
• Learn best practices for recruiting and retaining effective board members
• Develop leadership skills to foster a high-performing board culture
• Strengthen their organization’s ability to create lasting community impact
who should apply?
To be eligible, organizations must be an active 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the Orlando region.
Program Participation Requirements
• Each participating nonprofit must have both the Executive Director and an Executive Board Member enrolled.
• Sessions take place once a month for a full day.
• Participants may miss only one session to remain in good standing.
