Advancing Our Regional Transportation Agenda
Working with others, the Central Florida Partnership will host its first Regional Leadership Forum for 2014 on Thursday, March 13, from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m., at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. The Final Report and Recommendations of the "Expert Committee" on Regional Transportation will be presented by George W. Walton, P.E., Regional Business Manager for Parsons Brinkerhoff, who chaired the "Expert Committee."

At Businessforce Insider's Briefing
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi made her first appearance before BusinessForce, the political action arm of the Central Florida Partnership, at its Jan. 27th "Insider's Briefing" The private luncheon was hosted by the BusinessForce Board of Directors and sponsored by AT&T, along with supporting sponsors Duke Energy, Clear Channel Outdoor, Bright House Networks, Century Link and Publix Supermarkets.
Supports House Speaker-Designate and Others
BusinessForce, the political action arm of the Central Florida Partnership, has issued important "early" endorsements in several key Florida House races throughout the region. Heading up the endorsements was the endorsement of Central Florida Legislative Delegation Chair and House Speaker-designate Rep. Steve Crisafulli (R-Merritt Island). Other endorsements of regional legislators included Representatives Tom Goodson (R-Titusville), Larry Metz (R-Groveland), David Santiago (R-Deltona) and former Rep. Eric Eisnaugle (R-Orlando) who faces a spring special election called following the earlier resignation of Rep. Steve Precourt (R-Orlando).
Demolition of Florida Citrus Bowl Begins
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, and Florida Citrus Sports CEO Steve Hogan, celebrated the beginning of the Citrus Bowl Stadium's demolition and reconstruction on Wednesday morning. Several hundred elected officials, business and community leaders and fans turned out in the cold, wet rain on the stadium field to witness this third piece of the Community Venues pie take its place in the history of our community.
